I had these Freudian Slippers delivered to a Psychotherapist friend.
He got such a charge out of them that it kept him laughing.
That was worth it!

I love these slippers! They are hilarious! Your toes fit into the compartment that becomes Freud's tongue so when you wiggle your toes, it looks like his tongue is wiggling. They are very warm as well, which was unexpected as it doesn't have a back to the slippers. It is a little tight on the sides of the toes that fit into the tongue and bothers you for about 5 minutes until you get used to it. That's the only negative. It also has a hard sole so that it won't wear out as fast and won't soak through if you happen to walk on a wet floor. I recommend!!

The reference to my college experiences was merely for the purpose of offering anecdotal evidence.

My point that those men were racist bastards is uncontraverted. I think we've both made our feelings plain on this subject and no further discussion is required.

You have a very Freudian (filthy) manner of expression. Perhaps if your mother had given you a good hiding as a youngster you would have learned how to respect yourself and others.

Thanks so much for this. The first serious book I ever read was Interpretations of Dreams. It was an awakening. This poem, which I had not come across before, is haunting, electrifying and beautiful by turns. Auden's anger is right to the heart of the whole sorry tragic saga which runs and runs and runs. Bravo - the choice and the manner of execution! Love it!
